Painting is a process of discovery, not only of the painting process itself, but of self-discovery. Through painting, the serious artist seeks to give expression to his hopes, ideas, beliefs and passions. This takes time, many years of finding the powerful movements within oneself that motivate and strive toward the next step of the journey.
Because the artist paints what was not there before, and in fact creates that which only has its existence because of the struggle of the painter, the viewer is enabled to see the world in a unique, fresh new way.
